My not so secret love affair

I am a huge dork and love, love, LOVE to read (thank you mom and dad)! While studying economics in college I picked up a copy of The Economist and since that day I haven't been able to seperate myself from the current issue. You can't imagine how excited I get when i see that little red box in my mailbox! They have amazing coverage of everything that is going on in the world from the US to Tibet, to Kazakhstan and everywhere in between. I have to admit, I don't always see eye to eye with their reporters in regards to certain issues. However, their entire staff write with such logical and well researched articles that they often nudge me into at least considering a different viewpoint without me even being aware of it!

Today, as I was reading my copy of this week's edition I came across my word of the day

Main Entry:
mor·i·bund
Pronunciation:
\ˈmȯr-ə-(ˌ)bənd, ˈmär-\
Function:
adjective
Etymology:
Latin moribundus, from mori to die — more at murder
Date:
circa 1721
1 : being in the state of dying : approaching death 2 : being in a state of inactivity or obsolescence
— mor·i·bun·di·ty \ˌmȯr-ə-ˈbən-də-tē, ˌmär-\ noun

oh and btw, The Economist is a great place to learn new words to add to your vocabulary everyday!
